The First Chat Tea Café

The Mayor of Winchester at the first Chat Tea Café

On Monday, 28th January the first Chat Tea Café at the Community Centre Badger Farm, Winchester‎, ‎was officially opened, with the Mayor of Winchester cutting the cake, followed by an applause and a cheer.‎

The cafe soon filled up with many people enjoying a warm welcome, a great slice of cake and a great atmosphere.
This has been so rewarding for the team of volunteers who baked the cakes, enjoyed engaging with everyone, serving the free drinks and cakes. ‎The sound of people laughing with each other was uplifting for all including some having met for the first time. ‎

The mission to create a monthly Chat Tea Café for people of a certain age and those who feel lonely‎ ‎has been an outstanding success.‎‎ The Chat Tea Café provides free tea, coffee and cakes on the fourth Monday of every month ‎from one o’clock until three o’clock. ‎

The next Chat Tea Café is on Monday, 25th February … so spread the word and if you would like to get involved in volunteering please contact us at info@chat-tea.co.uk
